Welcome
I try to update as often as I have time and I hope you enjoy the updates on the kids. Honestly, sometimes I forget about it until someone mentions to me that they check it for updates. I will try to stay on this and keep everyone posted on our family! Thanks!

Counting!!!
Drew likes to lay on my legs and I push up and count to ten. The other day he just started counting with me, I was surprised when he started counting. In this video he thinks I am trying to take his picture so he is doing his fake smile (little scary smile) but finally he starts counting!
Cousins!!!!
My sister came to town with her two boys, Brandon and Kyle, for my birthday. Drew and I were equally excited. He started playing the moment he saw them and didn't stop until they left. My sister took on the task that no one else dare attempt.... baking with Drew. Drew is very, very busy and not gentle.... I thought baking would be a nightmare with Drew. Well Mandy and Drew proved me wrong. They baked muffins and my little Drew was such a good helper. Thanks for coming Mandy, Brandon and Kyle! We had a blast.

Poor Brandon... Drew loves his cousin. The whole time they were here Drew would hug Brandon any chance he got. Brandon would be sitting in a chair and Drew would climb up to hug him (or smash him) so then Brandon would get down and sit in another chair and Drew would follow. Brandon was very polite.

A B C's
Drew is learning to sing his ABC's and we are very proud parents! He doesn't have them all but he is doing great! We love how proud he feels when he knows he is singing the right letter. I would love to be able to take the credit for this but he has toy that he just plays the song over and over again. One day I was singing the song to him and he just started singing along. We love him so much and want to share his accomplishments with everyone!
Did it snow in my pantry?

Grandma, Elmo and Cousins..... who could ask for more?!?!?!
Drew had a big adventure. Sam and I went to Kansas City with a couple friends for TWO NIGHTS!!!! It sounded like a great idea up until the night before, then I started to panic and woke up the day of crying. Sam talked me through it with the regular... "he will be fine", "he will be with Grammy and Grandma and cousins" and "he needs to learn that he is okay without mommy and daddy in case he ever has to spend time away for some reason." Well I got myself together and then cried two other times, I have been away for a night before but never two. So we left. He spent the first afternoon with Grammy (Sam's mom) and her friend Nancy. They kept him busy and then my mom came for the night shift. The next day they headed to Lawrence to visit my sister and watch Elmo Live. I kept calling to check and kept hearing "he is doing great and he hasn't asked for you at all." Now all you mothers know that is bitter sweet, I want him to be happy and having fun, but it would be nice if he remember I was alive! :) Anyway they had a great weekend and so did Sam and I. My mom is already asking for more time with him so I guess that is a good sign. Here are some pictures of the weekend.

Tulsa Aquarium
We went to the Tulsa Aquarium this week with Jeannie and Jamie. The kids had a lot of fun and loved looking at the fish. Drew just loved running around and feeding the turtles. He is starting to remember his friends and gets excited to see them. Jeannie and Michael were coming to pick us up and I told Drew they were coming, he started running around yelling "Mic-al, Mic-al, Mic-al. " It is neat to see him get excited about his friends.
The aquaruim was a good place for the kids to get out of the house.

One New Year Resolution Down!
Drew has already accomplished one of his New Year Resolutions..... he climbed out of his crib this morning. He has been trying for awhile but couldn't get all the way over. The funny thing is last night we had some people over and they were talking about their kids getting up at night and I made the comment that I was not looking forward to when Drew can get out of bed. Well..... this morning Sam and I were sleeping and around 7:15 we heard and huge thud followed by crying. Sam ran in and Drew was standing at the door holding his head! He is okay and I am hoping that it hurt bad enough he won't try it again, but with this boy I am not counting on it. We know that he isn't ready for a big boy bed, he would be like the ball in a pin ball machine if we left him alone in his room , however if he continus to climb out I am not sure what our options will be. Happy New Year... I am sure we will have many more changes this year!
